Tri Polish Challenge - Day 5

Hello again ladies:)!! Today is the start of the Crumpet Nail Tart's Tri Polish Challenge for the month April using new set of colors. You can find the rules of this challenge HERE. The colors for this month are turquoise, pink and orange and I chose the shades shown in the picture and I have to stick to these bottles for this month. 

I did this very simple mani for Day 5 using two of my colors, orange and turquoise. My orange is looking more like brown:( because of the turquoise base. I should have done it the other way, first orange and then turquoise. I guess it looks good this way also. What do you think :)?

To get this look I used...

I started with a base coat and one coat of metallic silver nail paint.

Then two coats of the silver glitter polish.

 Then I created a small triangle at one end of the tip of my nail as shown

Then at the other end joining the two triangles in the middle.

 After the nail paint dried, I created another small orange triangle as shown.

 Another triangle,cleaned my cuticles using Q-tip and nail polish remover. Finally applied a top coat and done:)!!

French Tips With A Twist - Day 14 - April 30 Day Nail Art Challenge

Hello there!! Hope you are having/ had a wonderful weekend! Today is Day 14 of the April 30 Day Nail Art Challenge and the theme of the day is French with a twist. I did this super duper easy French mani, ofcourse with a twist. I saw this technique on Youtube long time back, when I was just interested in watching the videos and not trying them out as my nails were terrible then because of my nail biting habit. When I read the theme, French with a twist, this technique came to my mind first and I went ahead with it. Sorry for not naming the creator of this design as I don't really remember and I tried to search for this video on youtube but failed :( . So, here is my recreation and I think the outcome is cute. What do you girls think?

I used...

Firstly, Apply a base coat and two coats of your base color and let it dry.

For the French tip, I used alternate black and red nail paint. Start by creating a small back triangle as shown, at one end of the tip. No separate tool is required for this. Just use the nail polish brush.

 Then a diagonal stroke of the red polish brush as shown, towards the tip of your nail. Repeat the same, alternating the colors. Finally add a top coat and done:)!!

Basic white and gold french tips

Hello Girlies!! Today, I have for you this super easy french manicure nail design. I did the basic french manicure and added a touch of gold. Hope you like it:)!!!

I used...

Start off with the basic french manicure. For this apply two coats of the french manicure base coat to your nails and let them dry completely. Then with the white nail paint create french tips. For this you can use french tip guides or just do it free hand. I used the nail art striper brush to create the french tips.

Then, using a striper brush draw a thin gold line as shown.

Add white and gold dots alternately below the french tip as shown. Finally apply a top coat and you are done :)!!!

Floral tipped nails

Hello Everyone :)!!! I am back with another, very simple and easy to do nail design. I have many unused nail polishes that I really want to use. I found this awesome baby blue polish from my collection  and without thinking about the design, I simply applied it onto my nails. So, this design just happened without any plan. Hope you like it :)!!

 

I used....

Apply a base coat and two coats of your base color. Here I used baby blue nail polish. 

I used nail art pens here. You can also use toothpick. Put a drop of white nail paint on a paper and using a tooth pick, create a flower by putting up 5 small dots in the form a circle, at the center of your nail tip.

 On either sides of the white flower, using a dark blue polish and a tooth pick create flowers as shown. The main idea is to create alternate dark blue and white flowers.

 Add white dots to the middle of blue flowers and blue dots to the middle of white flowers. Finally apply a top coat and you are done:)!!!

Gold and black french tipped nails with polka dots

Hello there!! Here is today's nail design. It is a simple back and gold glittery polka dots nail art with french tips. It is very easy manicure and takes less time to do.

I used...

Apply black and gold nail polish alternatively to the nails.

Apply two coats of gold glittery nail polish to the nails with the gold nail polish.

Then using dotting tool or toothpick create black and glittery gold polka dots as in the picture. Finally apply a top coat and you are done!!! Don't forget to leave your comments :)!!!

Nail polishes used

Let's begin!!!

1. Apply a base coat.

2. Apply two coats of brown nail polish and let it dry completely.

3. Create gold french tips. You can do it free hand or with the help of French manicure guide strips.

4. Then at one end of the french tip put 5 dots of yellow nail polish with the help of a tooth pick to form a circle.

5. With a clean tooth pick, starting from the middle of each dot drag towards the center of the circle. That's it!!! you got the flower.

6. Then add yellow dots to the remaining half of the nail below the gold tip.

7. Add gold dots to the middle of each flower using tooth pick.

8. Finally apply a topcoat and you are done!!!!
